Default Re: Is it time to reconsider Carib Sun and InterPoker?

[ QUOTE ]
I stopped playing Carib Sun and InterPoker for 2 months because of the changes in their bonus clearing rate (I play 1/2 6-max).

Should I add these back to my monthly play list (before I dip into my UB and PokerStars bonus backlog)?

[/ QUOTE ]
You might want to clear the bonus at InterPoker. Hands raked $0.25 now count as 1/4 towards the requirement of 450 hands raked $1 or more, so I think you should be able to clear the bonus in about 2000 hands. You'll also get a free hat (at 300) and a free copy of Super System 2 at 700 hands this month. That's worth more that you will get from UB.

If you don't want to clear the InterPoker bonus by playing poker, you can clear it very rapidly in the casino, paying only a small fraction of the value back in blackjack or pontoon.

What about Pokerroom, are their 1/2 5-max games clearing bonuses fast enough to be worth doing? (I have a pending bonus there, not sure if I should do it or abandon it)

I cleared the last PokerRoom bonus by playing SNGs. (I played the Labor Day SNG promotion.) Their tournaments are soft, and the bonus gives you 60-70% of the rake back.

The recent rake increase for ring games would significantly decrease your win rate at $1-$2. It might not affect NL players as much.

If you don't want to clear a PokerRoom bonus by playing poker, you can treat it as a blackjack bonus. However, the wagering requirement is large, and unlike most blackjack bonuses, if you bust out, you have to redeposit and play more to get the bonus.

I enjoyed the rapid bonus clearing at PokerStars when they gave double points two hours each day a couple of months ago. I'm putting off clearing my bonuses at PokerStars until the next such promotion.
