I was there several years ago with a girlfriend from Memphis. I was a little skeptical of what to do but actually had a pretty good time. I'm not an Elvis fan but I enjoyed going to Graceland. Most of the enjoyment came from seeing how nuts people still were for him but it was fun nonetheless. The Peabody ducks experience was entertaining. While the ducks were amusing, again the real fun was watching all the people go crazy about them.
But by far the best excursion was going to the
National Civil Rights Museum. We stumbled across it (she didn't even know it was there). It's easy to miss as it's actually at an old motel (The Lorraine Motel where Martin Luther King Jr. was killed). It was really informative and exceeded all expectations and that was about 8 years ago so I wouldn't be surprised if it were even better now.
