I posted a similar hand in Micro a few months ago where I was on the button with K 8 and got a lot of the "fold preflop" responses. I had explained in the original post that I was trying to loosen up from late position as I tend to be a bit too tight all around. Is K2s better than K8s for some reason?

K8s is a pretty easy steal raise from the button. I think you got bad advice.
