It was with heavy hearts that Patrick del Poker Grande and I continued on the trail after Jakethebake, IndyMatty, and El Diablo died.
Jakethebake died crossing the Snake River. Apparently, even Marines can't swim. Indymatty died of Dysentery, but he soldiered on for a couple weeks before succumbing to his injuries. El Diablo broke his leg and died 3 days later. I understand that can happen when you haven't eaten in 5 days.
Please bow your head in a moment of silence for our fallen comrades, if not for them, we would not have made it to Oregon.
