If the concert is downtown, there are two extremely expensive but very posh hotels: La Ponchatrain and the Raddison at the Renasaince(sp?) center. The people mover in downtown detroit goes from the ren cen to cobo, joe louis, and there is a stop at Greektown casino that steps off right into the Greektown poker room. Rides are like a few bucks.
