When i was a kid, i used to draw an imaginary line through the corner of the duct that ran along the ceiling and into the corner of the room. I'd make a second line as well using some other markers and position myself so that i could look down both lines without moving my head. I thought it was neat to know that my head was in the exact same place as it had been before.
