A scorching Ry Cooder score, a soundtrack featuring the Blasters and songs written by Tom Petty and others, a leather-clad Willem Dafoe as the bad guy, Michael Pare (Eddie Wilson from Eddie and the Cruisers) as the good guy, Diane Lane looking sooooooooooo hot, Amy Madigan punching out Bill Paxton, and Walter Hill's seamless action movie direction, capped with a climactic fight between the two leads using sledgehammers. Look for Robert Townsend as one of the members of The Sorels.
