Default trying to transfer $ on Empire but error: \"AccountName does not exist\"

OK, this has now happened with 4 different people when I've tried to transfer them money via Empire's interacct transfer feature. It tells me that it cannot be processed because the Account Name that I've specified transfer to does not exist. The first time, I thought maybe I was typing it in wrong, but I got the user to verify it for me 6 ways to Sunday -- and now it's happened with 3 subsequent transfer attempts to different users. Most transfers go through just fine...but some account names I'm told do not exist, even though they definitely do.

Anyone else ever run into this problem, and did you ever get an explanation from Empire?
