I suspect the SIIMP responses are because that's a much more passive and impersonal thing. No need to face the person. Add to that there's a lot gay men as well as straight women that obviously find SIIMP enjoyable and at least there's hope it won't be a bad experience.

A SIIMM requires more involvement and activity and there's zero chance you'll get anything out of it beyond undesired protein...
