Flipping is allowed is some poker rooms, but not all. I'm not a big fan of showing cards to get a reaction. 1) it's an amateur move, 2) you've giving your opponent information that he/she wouldn't have if you folded face down and 3) against a good player with some acting ability, he'll act in a manner that will cause you do exactly what he wants you to do. Given what you've written, you've probably got him beat. Having said that, why go to war with 10s? You've put $140 into the pot and he just put you in a position to call $600 to win $880. Do you really think you're that much of a favorite?
