Not at all. I say the same to my good friends who are looking to learn poker. Seeding even an adequate bankroll from private funds takes a willingness to wave good-bye to the cash. Seeding and under-funded one is just more so.
SNGs and NLHE are two different games. Play whichever appeals to you the most.
