JMHO - if you thought your money was gone this is a good event. Betcris/ACR is a site I would trust my money with. I think I have a couple of thousand dollars on these sites.
The promo bucks/bonus dollars are not that great. The bonus dollars are just a partial rake rebate. The games used to be very tough! I have not played there in several weeks. At times I thought I was the only non prop on the site. I never propped there but many of the 'established 2+2er's' did.
ACR is forcing you to play x number of hands hoping you will like the site, or more importantly, become a Betcris client. With my limited knowledge, it seems that Betcris did a noble thing by assuming Choice Poker's accounts. Best wishes to ACR and the players for hopefully a win/win situation!
