Books that put me in a certain mood are what i look for.
Feynman's books are great, and they'll put you in a jovial, happy mood. Sometimes ill read some of Kingdom of Fear before a night of drinking on the town, and itll put me in the mood to be a crazy drunk bastard.
The Indespensible Calvin and Hobbes; Bill Watterson. Puts me in a great mood when i read it. Includes the adventures of Tracer Bullett, the Duplicator, the Transmogrifier, and I think the time machine box, among others.
Also, If you are a math dork like me, Fermat's Enigma is a great read about a proof that took centuries to complete, and is a very interesting read, even without a math background.
