Sure its a small thing. Just a button and menu option. Or is it?

What else did they install? Nothing? Are you sure? How would you know?

Last year TurboTax installed a silent protection scheme without telling their customers about. It was a huge deal. Was this a big deal? I can point you to the fall out on this little escapade.

As an IT guy for my company I can assure you that software being installed without you knowing about it is a huge deal. What do you think most viruses do?

All they had to do was mention what they were going to do and let you ok it. Simple 2 second ordeal. Instead they secretly installed it without your knowledge.

Is it ok for your neighbor to go into your house and leave cookies on the counter without you knowing about it? He didn't hurt anything. Maybe even helped you if you like the cookies. But was it ok?
