OK so I guess PCIe x16 won't work in an x1 slot - I had no idea they were actually different physical sizes. And I have no idea what you can put in the x1 slot then.
But as for PCI video cards, all cards were PCI before AGP came along so there's enough bandwidth. They wouldn't make a PCI card to plug 2 DVI monitors into if there wasn't. I just wouldn't expect much in the way of 3d graphics, but you just want to play poker so I'd assume it'll work fine.
