For me, knowing a fair amount about poker makes it really hard to appreciate fawning articles by non-players. I mean, I can read the board, and I understand that tournament poker is built on illusions.
So it's hard for me to really know how the author feels while playing, or to be as starry-eyed about the tournament poker scene.
