Don't call, go to the resturaunt and get her # in person. I do agree though that there is a better chance she gave the signal for her friend to save her.

Yup, this is the correct answer. I'm curious as the what the OP believes is the reason the friend pulled him away. I can't think of any reason other than the girl giving her friend a signal to save her.
