Split Kings is a tough hand to play in stud/8, and you probably wouldn't be giving up much if you never played them while you're learning. With mostly high cards showing, however, they become much stronger, and I would raise third myself unless the game is very loose, which it doesn't appear to be.
bygmesterf does make a good point that the hands that make the most sense for opponent all have us beaten. That said, a lot of folks will raise coming in with Queens or even Jacks, in which case you have a great situation. And I've taken Kings against Aces and won before.
