First hand:
I play same way, not much you can do without a solid read.
Second Hand:
Even against a maniac I do not call the PreF raise. Im sure their are better spots to attack a maniac then on a hand were you are either slightly ahead or fairly far behind.
Third hand:
I agree with AC that this is an easy fold after 3 limpers for me. It could be that i generally hate Q10o but if im gonna play it I want it against fewer opponents to maximize its limited high card strength.
If it was suited I'd be willing to play because the flush possibilities add good value multiway. Off-suit the straight draw is thier but unlikely and the risk of domination is too great.
As for the calldown "to see what he has" for future reads, i think is very suspect. It is a large pot but I really don't think there is enough chance of a bluff or enouhg additional knowledge to be gained (we know he is a maniac) to make it worth it. Seems amateurish and sounds like a slight case of tilt being justified.
Just my thoughts, If anyone disagrees please explain.
