This was not necessarily an overtly passive fold. You are behind looking at about 1:3.4 pot odds, but you are getting 1:1 on your money plus what is already in the pot which you didn't specify (please include that next time), so basically a call here would be -EV. But, it seems this hand was taken from tournament play, or at least a SnG, in which case it may have been a good call, or at least a good gamble. It all depends on how aggressively you play your tournies, how deep in the tourny you are, reads on the other player... If this was multiway and you knew there would be at least one more caller I think it would be a wise call... unless you knew he had AA, in which case you are looking at only 6 outs or 1:5.6 and are basically drawing dead looking for an overpair and shooting in the dark to make a straight... IMO
