Default Re: could someopne explain implied odds, and pot odds?

i have a bit of an idea of what they are. but im not completly sure what they are, and how to calculate them. could someone explain?

Pot odds - ratio of "amount of money in pot" to "amount of money it takes to call"

Implied odds deals with the amount of extra money you can make on the hand if you hit your card. In a limit game on a flush draw, you might win an extra bet. In a no limit game with a more hidden straight draw, you might win your opponents' whole stack if you catch your card.

Implied odds are much more important in No Limit and Pot Limit games than limit games.
