Default Re: Party $.50/1.00 stud hand

Geez, I'd have jammed the pot way more in such an overanted game. (Sorry, bad joke, but the "$16 ante" in the converter made me chuckle.)

Fourth street is interesting and screams "four-flush" to your opponents if they're thinking. This suggests to me that this play was made more for immediate equity than for other reasons. Given how improbable AAA is for villain, that makes sense to me. Also, sometimes people, especially $.5/$1 players, get scaaaaaared for no good reason... I guess you're up against nothing better than one pair often enough to get some free cards and such too.

Don't see any reason to get fancy on 5th or 6th, so good calls.

I'd be shocked if the river 3bet weren't completely mandatory.

I suppose you're mostly asking about fourth street here, and I think the raise was good. Against some opponents it might effectively flip your hand over, but here I think you have enough pot equity, I don't think they're folding, and you benefit from swelling the pot.

All hail Andy B.
