I am a physical therapist, and I whole-heartedly agree. Its amazing how many changes are affected in the body , when exposed to too much static sitting. Bad for your neck, upper back, lower back, hips, etc.

At the very least, get up and stretch every 15-20 minutes. Try to change the sitting position slightly frequently, too. There is no such thing as "ideal sitting posture." Your body doesn't want to be in the same position for hours on end!!
