Thanks all of you for your very kind comments to my post. I missed alot of you tell especially Blaze, UTMT and BlueMonster.
After lunch with Melanie yesterday, she wanted to go and shop for flowerpots. I didn't care much for that so went home and played some poker.
Decided to go back to my old stomping ground and play at
Pacific Poker.
Was a 20 seat sit and go.
By the time there were five of us left I was in third place. Then this really strange hand happened.
I was the big blind with 2-5. Everyone called and I checked. The flop came 3-4-A. Bingo! I had flopped a straight.
I decided to play it cool not wanting to scare anyone away.
Everyone checked. The turn was a Jack.
The first guy called, I went all-in and the dealer who was chip leader called me. The original caller folded.
The river was a King to form a board of 3-4-A-J-K.
What did the other guy have? Q-10.
He had gone runner-runner to create a straight. I couldn't believe it. I still don't.
Suffice to say that I was numb afterwards and when Melanie came home she found me curled up in the foetal position.
At least the Yankees won and the Sox lost
