PokerStars Tourney Crash - Correct Solution?
Ok, let me first say that I'm not mad - it's only a difference of a few dollars, but I'm curious what people think the right solution is.
PokerStars just cancelled the $20 Rebuy tourney with 224 people left. The problems started with some people being disconnected about 1 & a half hours in - as best as I can tell. PokerStars gave EVERYONE their fees back - rebuys & all, including those who left the tournament well before the problem started. Heck, I had 3 people from my table lose their first T$1500 & then leave in the first 10 minutes.
Wouldn't it be better to split the prize pool among the players in the tournament when the problem started. Obviously if they didn't know when the problem started, then they may have to start at the beginning, but I guess I'm having trouble understanding how the people who got knocked out, left, & went to bed should be getting their money back.
