Default Why do I love poker so much?

I really couldn't say. People here in San Diego say surfing is a lifestyle and for me, poker is the same way. I'm not saying I'm a professional, but I do pull around 200 dollars a week playing on the side. While I could easily do this by getting a second job, why would I? I get 200 dollars a week for doing something that I love to do. When I'm at the table, nothing else seems to matter. Time flies by and before I know it, it's morning. The subtle complexities of the game with the added excitement of real money at stake makes poker a game like no other. I spend hours reading about poker and browsing this forum and others like it whenever I'm not actually playing. For me, poker compares to nothing else. I may seem a little obsessed, but heck, what better thing to be obessed with? So why do I love poker? I'll be damned if I know, but I'm sure glad that I do.
