If you think they're calling the flop means they have the ace often, then you should shut down and check/fold the turn, especially multiway.

If they are loose enough that they will call down/show down with things like middle pair, but are too passive to raise a bad ace, you should consider betting the river if you get that far. You still lose the same amount as a check/call when you're behind, but you don't allow them to check behind with second pair. The counterpoint is that you don't allow them to bluff either which is why this is opponent dependent.

"Bet the flop, bet the turn, check/fold the river" is pretty much the worst way possible to play the hand. You lose as much as you can on the hand without giving yourself any chance of winning the pot.
