If my computer sits idle for a while with all programs closed and I try to open IE to surf 2+2 or whatever, it just keeps searching like I dont have a connection. If I open a skin PP,PN,EP they all connect fine but PS won't?

I have cable connection and run XP. If I reboot it usually fixes the problem but sometimes not. I've ran Spybot, Ad-Aware and scanned whole system with updated Norton. I use Zone Alarm for firewall. Anyone have any ideas before I throw this thing out the window?
