"get one of those electric groomers?"

Well, maybe I just don't have the right one, but I have tried this and it just didn't work well enough.

I'm old enough to have ear, eyebrow and nose hair that is naturally long enough to braid. That said, I don't want to look like Andy Rooney so over the years I've used many of these devices.

Old man's advice:

Don't get the circular type trimmers. My experience is they just don't work.

You can get good quality sissors with a blunt end but I agree they suck.

I bought a Remington "Titanium" rechargable trim kit a year ago at the evil Walmart a year ago and love it. This has heads for nose/ear (ears get hair when you age) along with a decent set of clippers for my neckline (I've used a Flowbee to cut the rest of my hair for fifteen years). Unfortunately my clipper doesn't show up when I used Google search - apparently Remington discontinued it. But the nose trimmer head is flat accross and looks something like this

BTW, I didn't realize plucking nose hairs is bad. I learn something new on 2+2 every day.
