FWIW, I play every hand you call "marginal," and also A8s, KTs, and QTs in the proper situation. 66 and lower pairs sometimes as well.
In my opinion if your not able to find value from AJo and KQo in early position, you should be finding better tables, or maybe finding the appropriate limit such that you are confident enough in your post-flop play to include these hands. I raise both of them UTG.
I also raise ATs, 88 (about 75% of the time), and KJs UTG, though I doubt any of those matter that much at all so long as you don't fold them.
