I usually play the $150 and $200 buyins on Party. I started out with 12K in account before I started to play these tournaments exclusively. You really need a top three finish somewhere in the next 50 games or so. This really helps the BR. I've been boucing between 7K and 15K. I haven't won one of these yet but seem to keep my BR consistent.
ITM% is not an indicator of overall success. I would definitely take one win in 50 trys rather than 20% ITM return. The really money is in the top 3 so that is what you should strive for. I guess a better measure would be final table apppearances. If you could make the final table 10% of the time, you'll do well.
