I saw a player with a vpip of 90% who saw any 2 cards to the river go up 130 BB in about an hour. He won hand after hand after hand, it was amazing to watch. Then, and this was the worst part, he left the table before I could take his winnings from him.

Anyone can be a winner in the short term, this is not surprising or unusual.
