Default Re: Golf Good; Poker Bad; A’s horrible – Vegas Trip Report

Nice report Barry. Too bad you couldn't run like I did a little while ago.

"I’m on the phone with Babe and telling her about my tribulations at the cage. She offers me the use of her “box”. But since I know, Mr. Babe and I don’t think that he would appreciate it, I decline her offer."
ROFL. Gutsy. Very gutsy.

"I’m looking forward to my return trip in July so that I can avenge my loss, but I may go for golf and poker, rather than poker and golf."

I've certainly found that as I've played more and more, my focus on poker has been less and less. Ie, my first few trips out it was "nothing but poker, pure profit, etc etc". I usually ended up only having a so-so time and the losses were that much more annoying. Since then, I enjoy the poker so much more when I'm doing other stuff, and win or lose I can say I really had fun during the trip, got to hang with cool people, etc etc. It's so much better that way. Plus I don't lose anymore I think your strategy is right on.

I'm coming out in July for an Elvis wedding (no joke) so maybe our paths will intersect.
