The dealers are performing a mechanical function, not making decisions which are sometimes judgment calls. If the dealer is fixing the deck in collusion with a player, it would be prearranged and not related to tipping. (If the dealer boxes the deck and cuts with one hand, it is almost impossible to fix the deck). Arguably, if the dealer is relating the action to the floor, who didn't witness the incident, he might favor a big tipper, but it's pretty remote.
Big Tipper: "His bet went past his cards"
Dead Beat: "Not"
Dealer to floor: "hummnahummnahummmna"
Appearances are important to newcomers who see that the regulars know everyone.
