Default bluffing w/ outs, taking it too far?

I think this kind of hand is getting me into tons of trouble.

Flop, sb checks, so I assume he has nothing. Am I wrong in taking the odds here and betting out hoping they fold? It only has to work 1 out of 3 times to be profitable (and the draw will come in sometimes too.)

PokerStars 1/2 Hold'em (6 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is BB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
UTG calls, 3 folds, SB completes, Hero checks.

Flop: (3 SB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, UTG folds, SB calls.

Turn: (2.50 BB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets

Is this a bad bet here? I'm guessing yes. Again, just taking the odds and hoping they fold...

, SB calls.

River: (4.50 BB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB bets, Hero calls

Does this call suck? I'm guessing yes. Man this was a terrible hand... But I'm bringing it up because I run into this type of hand alot at sh.

I'm curious to hear what everyone has to say.

Final Pot: 6.50 BB
