Default Re: Another Cat. 5 Cane

I find it hard to take any sensationalist site seriously when it has a donation link on it.

Also, I really liked this from one of the sources he links to:

It seems that this album is receiving quite a few hits as linked from www.weatherwars.info.
I wish to stress that I have no affiliation with that website (nor do I wish to have). As is the case with any successful storm chase, the images you see herein were obtained through a combination of a good forecast and acute situational diagnosis on my part, a measure of good luck, and (perhaps most importantly) the fortuitous manifestation of a beautiful atmospheric rarity. The events depicted in this album were the result of entirely natural processes; please don't be so foolish as to ascribe any credence whatsoever to the nutjob on that "offending" website. He either has no grasp of atmospheric processes, or is simply taking advantage of the internet's seemingly insatiable appetite for abject political rants and bizarre conspiracy theories. I can't imagine what sort of self-esteem deficiencies would drive one to spend so much time and effort in order to cultivate such utter bullsh**!

Now that all that's out of the way, I do thank you for your interest in these images. If you'd like further information on the storm and the mesoscale environment surrounding it, feel free to e-mail me at bpurcell@pdq.net .

Thanks, and enjoy!

Bill Purcell
