Thanks for your thoughts. Maybe I was being too results-oriented. I very well could have forced out a set which may have filled up on the turn. I'm more of a limit O/8 player, and used to getting drawn out on, so I just wanted to take the pot down right there. If I were to play it again, I probably would have smooth-called the flop, and potted a safe card on the turn.
