Default Re: The Errors of Bankroll Management

I have also noticed that. It is hard to switch gears.

As a strictly recreational player I probably don't have the same mindset as those of you trying to go pro, but I look at the inter-game variance as an "investment" in becoming a better all around HE player. I do use different games (as you do) to break up the monotony of playing the same game at the same site, but I also play those games seriously (as I'm sure you do also) and try to learn what I can about HE from each variation of it (NL tourney, NL ring, 6-max limit, etc). Maybe someday, if I ever venture out into the bright world of casino play, I'll be better off for it.

But you are right: play a lot of limit and then sit down at a SnG and you will find yourself making some weird moves occasionally ("I'll check/call this down" - duh). Maybe try sitting down at a low buy-in NL ring game for a few dozen hands before entering the SnG. Not much risk and you'll already be starting to get into a NL mindset as the tourney starts instead of going in cold.
