3 betting the flop might be ok, but you are hoping for quite a lot to happen on the T and R to give you some help if you are behind. Only A's your a head of are A2, A3, A4 and one of those goes out the window on the Turn. For these reasons, I don't mind calling down here -- minimizing your loses if you are behind.
