Eh? HD Compatible means it'll play an HD source.
That TV will do 720p and 1080i so it's good to go. Personally, I'd recommend against getting a RP unless it's LCD, so maybe a Wega or DLP box would do ya (I got my 42" Grand Wega for $1600).
