In general, if an opponent has been making Post-Oak bets at the pot in the 2 post-flop betting round and I've been calling him down, I will usually make a decent sized bet if he checks, probably about the size of the pot, in an effort to take down the pot because he is showing weakness. If I get called, I lose the pot, and if I get raised, then generally I know I'm beat.
This is my general rule of thumb, but then I take alot of the small pots down which can afford me to make bets like this. If you're running on a less than average bankroll, I wouldn't suggest doing this as it can sometimes bite you in the ass real bad.
