Also a fine point. The divisional layout in baseball absolutely blows. Football has the right idea (except I would rather there be 4 8-team divisions, so that there weren't automatic playoff bids to teams like whoever wins the NFC North -- in my scenario, the four divisional winners would at least all be deserving of a bye and home-field and even a playoff berth at all).
