Default Re: Muck 2 Pair here?

Deep stacks, I don't mind the PF call, but it is extremely important that you don't forget that you're in this had for the flush, not top pair with the fourth worst kicker in poker. (And after the flop, it's the third worst kicker.)

I was about to flame you, but as I look at it...let me see if I have your thinking right:

-Preflop: Suited ace four-handed? You betcha! (I agree.)

-Flop: Minbets on that board? I'll make a bet, chase out the cheese, and win the pot now. You're all calling? WTF? I'm done with this hand. (I can see this as well.)

Turn: Changed my mind. Two pair looks pretty good here. Checked to me, bet a bit over half the pot to get out the flush draws. (Again, I agree.)

River: Someone just woke up. It's unlikely that anyone has a two here, so right now you're afraid of: 44, 55, 33 or AQ. I don't know what the buy-in is, but against competent opponents, none of these is particularly likely. AQ and 33 are going to bet the flop to protect against str8 and flush draws, and 44 & 55 are going to fold to your bet.

Of course against weaker players, any of these hands are possible. You've been showing strength from the flop forward, and now someone says he doesn't care. As Harrington points out, bets usually mean what they say they mean, even when a brick hits the board. You have to fold.
