wow, that would be weird if it was the same guy.
the scene outside of Grauman's Chinese Theater does get pretty wild, it's like running a gauntlet of homeless super heroes all looking for handout, so I'm not surprised that the cops are starting to crack down. I imagine some of the tourists are bugged and have complained about it.
I often walk along that part of the boulevard, and between the hawkers for Jimmy Kimmel live , Ripleys, and Wax museum tix, the Scientologists, and begging costume characters not to mention the usual mix of homeless and "working boys and girls" , the place gets almost sureal and is probably scary for folks that aren't locals.
