Default Re: Playing draws in Hold\'em...

[ QUOTE ]
My 45 hearts turned a double belly buster... I played my draw Brunson style, but I don't think Brunson style is particularly well suited to low stakes no limit since you almost never have any fold equity. Should I have just folded this one to the flop checkraise?

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (9 handed) converter

Hero ($28.25)
MP2 ($45.5)
MP3 ($20)
CO ($22.45)
Button ($8)
SB ($36.3)
BB ($17.1)
UTG ($25)
UTG+1 ($29.75)

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">UTG+1 raises to $0.5</font>, Hero calls $0.50, MP2 calls $0.50, MP3 calls $0.50, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, SB calls $0.40, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>.

Flop: ($2.75) 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(5 players)</font>
SB checks, UTG+1 checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $1</font>, MP2 folds, MP3 folds, SB folds, <font color="#CC3333">UTG+1 raises to $8</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $27.75 (All-In)</font>, UTG+1 calls $19.75.

Final Pot: $58.25

1. Preflop is Ok, don't let them tell ya different.

2. Flop: You are wayyy out of position with lots of opponents. Just check and try to see a cheap card.

3. Once UTG+1's raise comes in you need to look at your odds. You have a 1/3 chance of making your hand by the river, you might lose to a full house if he has set, he's not going to fold if you come over the top. You are not getting 2:1 on a push or 5:1 to see another card. You must fold.
