Default UTG plays by the other players.

Another thread brought this up, and I think in general that I give UTG plays too much credit. So here is the question.

Mid-late in the STT. Blinds are substantial say 50-100. There are 5-7 players left.

UTG: LIMPS
UTG +1: FOLD
MP: FOLDS
HERO: ......

What range of hands do you put UTG on? I can not think like they do and do not have enough data to datamine.

I play very few hands UTG. I play them aggressively. On a mostly passive table with a maniac or two I might limp and hope for a raise so I can reraise all-in. I would therefore be limping with KK and AA like 25% of the time.

So what does this mean when they do it?
Do they limp with AXs hoping for a cheap flop? Are they doing this with Suited Connectors, or AJ, AT, AK, AQ ?

In the experience of players with many hands played, what does the UTG limp mean ? Can they be pushed out with an all-in?

Is it a sign of weakness, sneakiness or stupidity ?
