I won one of those big heads up tournaments to win some wcoop buy in. If its a heads up match you gotta feel out your player on how aggressive he is or how willing to fold he is. No point in raising alot to a guy who will always play back or call you down.

Heads up at end of a sit n go is a tad different because the blinds will definitely be a factor alot sooner. You do need to be firing at alot of pots and i also like limping or smooth calling with the hands like AK, AA, KK QQ...i ll play back with JJ-middle pairs. They usually pick up limping as weakness and usually raise you, i will usually just push here unless AA or KK, then i check raise all in on flop.

The best way to develop your post flop play is to really observe the mans betting patterns. Will he always bet the flop? If so does he shut down immediately on the turn? etc.
I have won so many pots from a guy firing at the flop, i call he check to me on the turn i bet and he folds. Most of the time i didnt have anything.

If you have been aggressive, you will pick up alot of blinds and eventually have a decent enough chip lead to where a double up from him will put you guys back to where you started. This is the part where i put it to a gamble but i have been very successful. I basically push with almost any pair, Ax and Kx. He will either do more folding as previous, or have to make a stand with a marginal hand and you will probably be the favorite.

This works even against aggressive good players because it will put them on the defensive most of the time. Whatever you do do not become a fold fold fold guy heads up.

I ll make this play depending on how willing he is to fold and how low his stack is. I ll let his stack kind of stay afloat once it reaches a minimum so i can put a final blow with at least a decent hand because he is liable to call with anything.
