Note, i havent seen the broadcast so i can only go off what ive read in this thread.
I couldnt possibly say id never fold 3rd set with 3 to a broadway straight, and 2 to a flush on board.
If he felt he was beat at that point, then he was right to fold it - the fact he woulda won meant nothing, it was a small pot which he doesnt necasserily need to be deeply involved in.
Gotta trust your first instincts, and his were clearly that there is a good chance he is beat, and if he is, he has no reason to go bust/lose a big pile of chips on this one.
One of the worst fold in the history of poker? Not even close.
