I started, unknowing they were taking 0.50 out of each pot, regardless of pot size, for a bad beat pot. over the 1500 hands i played on .5/1 FL, I figured i payed about $75 to the bad beat pot. I'm not sure if they are still running the bad beat pot, but I wish I hadn't played there. It sux to steal the blinds, and only make $0.25, which happens a lot at this tight site.
