I hit up Thailand for a month in August, it was one of the best times of my life. Tons of stuff to do, and everything is so cheap.
As far as poker goes, they dont have casinos and internet connections are mostly dail-up. So you wont be playing any poker. Maybe make it the last couple weeks of your trip, and just take some time to relax on the islands in the south, becuase playing online poker in the islands is the last thing you would want to be doing.
